The weather forecast for Friday is 27? but a chance of showers on Saturday and Sunday so don't leave the waterproofs at home....As if we would !

Nice to meet up with John and Alan this weekend. It did rain yesterday (more than a little). The Commando has had a first clean but I think that it's going to need another go tomorrow...

A great, friendly rally though at a comfortable location. Well done once again to the organisers.

Begonia rally not too far in the distant future. One of the best. This year I will have a new waterproof suit, so, it should stay dry!

How many go over for this rally? Heard lots of good things about it, but I couldn't find much other than a booking form on the website. What does it consist of? Will I be left behind on my '51 ES2?

I got my form filled in for the Norton Festival today, so I'll get that in the post on Monday and start getting to a few of these events.

Hi Andy, for starters, you would certainly not get left behind on your ES2, there will be several others there. Not sure how many bikes will be there, but there will be quite few Brits. The rally is based on a "holiday farm", a little more than 60 miles from Calais. Look on the Flanders club website, and you will find photos of previous rallies. Probably the best way to get there is through the tunnel. I have not checked yet, this year, but there is normally a 5 day return offer for around £45. I expect to leave around midday Friday, and return the same time Monday (when booking, don't forget the 1 hour time difference). Don't worry about being one of the younger members, most of us geriatrics are teenagers at heart!

Further to the above: I have just checked Eurotunnel fares, and, there is a big increase this year. For the times above, they are now charging £76 return. I checked DFDS fares (Dover/Dunkirk, saving over 20 miles each way), they are quoting £70 return. However, if you book with aferry.com, they quote £64, for the same trip. 35 mins through the tunnel, or 2 hours on the ferry.
