Hi,
does anyone know if the Norton Motors Digital ignition unit (little black box under the seat, not the advance and retard unit), a later fitment to my Interpol II is available or repairable, mine is giving me all sorts of problems.
the bike starts, runs for just a few moments, it seems to be ok then runs very unevenly, improves if revved hard enough then drops to one cylinder with the occassional 'shot gun bang' from the other side, tried O rings, all replaced, several different plugs and swopped coils, last try, is either the speed sensor or the ignition unit, but cant find where to obtain either.
Any ideas gratefully recieved
As an addition to this plea if anybody can get me in touch with Richard Negus so that I can ask his opinion on my best options I would be very grateful

thanks Hans, thought there was nobody out there!!, Richard has been in contact with me and helped me loads, the problem is resolved and as usual I had to redo the carb on the duff side, grease the O rings check for leaks etc; and It ran great what specific O'ring or joint was failing I couldn't say, but it doesn't need much to upset the system.

Hi Mike,
I sent the ignition unit to minimag for testing very efficient service , but nothing amiss, so back to stripping and rebuilding the carbs, and 'eurika' everything is fine, but if I took the carbs and inlets apart once, well you know how it goes, if at first you don't succeed.......
best wishes
