The motorcycle has been off the road for many years and is offered as a recommissioning / restoration project.
The bike was dismantled in the early 1970s. During that period:
• The frame was repainted
• The wiring loom was replaced (non-original)
• The silencers were hand-painted with black heat-resistant paint (now flaking)
Chrome throughout is rusty and pitted, consistent with long-term storage. The bike is complete except for battery and retains its correct major components. The engine turns over freely by hand but has not been run for many years.
A small area of the front mudguard and timing cover has been polished to assess finish; otherwise the machine remains unrestored.
A genuine matching-numbers Fastback LR with strong provenance, suitable for sympathetic recommissioning or full restoration.
Located near Selby.
