Roadholder 364 - April 2018
25 Again, around 1983, my late father, Ian, 'fettling' one of the Cosworths Two of the early Cosworths The two early Cosworth Nortons plus a spare engine. I am sure one of these bikes is now in the National Motorcycle Museum beware - always check the details. Lessons learned etc., but no harm done and it actually was a fun trip; the Dodge was then booked in to our local lorry/agricultural repair shop to bring it up to MoT standard. We took the Dodge to Brands Hatch loaded with people and two Cosworths and an RG500 Suzuki. A great trip, the bikes went well and the Dodge was much admired wherever it went as it was rather unusual. When we had the Dodge we did several agricultural and Vintage shows using it as a 'hospitality wagon': it was very good with a fridge, cooker etc. and plenty of space; we had bench seats in the back. Themileage reading on the Dodge was only 38,000 when we bought it, the engine was superb, and never missed a beat. When we sold it, I have to say I was sad to see it go - it was lots of fun each time it went out for a run.
