How do I get my money back from this club?

Posted by mathew_larrett at September 18. 2011

I joined this club to discuss all things 961 Norton but seeing as most posts get removed or edited i think i need my money back!
What a shame this club is so governed by the moderators and that free speach is censored so heavily, its an absolute joke and very unwelcoming to new members!
I just hope that someone has the ability and passion to start a new club and forum for 961 owners.
So enjoy this club while you can with your dwindling member list.

Mathew,

If that is what you wish to do, then please write to the Club Secretary or send an e-mail to <secretary@nortonownersclub.org> requesting a cancellation of your new membership.

I'm a new member as well and I'm not seeking my money back. I joined to take part in things to do with Nortons, not to take part in discussions about free speech and democracy. I thought at first that some members were adding satirical comments to add interest, but it seems that the comments, critical of moderation, are serious. There are other areas of the web for discussing political views, surely not this site? My Norton is a Mk111 Commando that I bought new from Gus Kuhn in 1976 and I still enjoy riding it.

I joined a year ago having bought a '72 Roadster - I've found the club and web site very helpful and hope to get involved in rides next year and the local Sussex section.

I wanted to show an alternative view.

Regards - Paul.
