Front ISO upper mounting bolt

Posted by gerald_kane at October 05. 2017

Hello,

I am trying to remove the front ISO mount and no matter what I try I can't get the upper bolt out.  I managed to get the nut off and it turns, I can drift it out until the timing side end of the bolt is flush with the mount, but that is it. No amount of turning or pulling will budge it any further.  I am thinking I will have to hacksaw the bolt head off from the drive side drift it back through a bit at a time and hacksaw off the exposed bits on the timing side.

Hopefully someone can offer   a better idea?

thanks,

Gerald

I think you are probably on the right lines. I have a dremmel type tool and the genuine dremmel grinding disc and mandrel saves a lot of time provided you protect the surrounds from the sparks. Treat yourself.
