Brake upgrades

When I obtained my mkIII commando last year, I planned on upgrading the brakes to something a bit more modern. The brakes that are currently fitted have some nice steel braided hoses, and the brakes themselves are Lockheed disc brakes. Are these good? Should I stick with them?

Those are not the stock Norton disk calipers.  The only way to find out is to ride it and see if they work well enough for your style of riding.  Of course, if the bike is used for sidecar trials, which it what it looks like it's for, then things are different from a regular road bike.
