Before I part with any of my hard earned, does anybody know if there are any issues when fitting vincent flats or 'm' type handlebars with an interstate fuel tank, with regards to them hitting the tank etc. thanks

You CAN get away with using Vincent flats, and, they are much more comfortable over 70 M.P.H. However, be VERY careful how the controls are fitted, otherwise you can put a dent in the tank (I know!).   If you are careful, you won't regret it.  All the best,  John.

Personally I cant imagine anything more uncomfortable !! However if you must, I would be even more careful of the master cylinder, presuming its a disc brake model, as the pipe union hangs down quite a long way and you may have to change the brake hose. Good luck. HT

With the Interstate tank and flat bars, you'll be wanting rearset footrests as well!
