Gears sticking

Hi Anyone able to advise please on gearbox problem 1960 Jubilee which jumps into gear while being pushed or reversed  locking the drive and wont disengage with the clutch lever

I think its clutch related but if anyone's come across this I'd be grateful for their help

Rob, I think you are describing engaging two gears at once. If  it happens at speed it will produce some excitement and considerable damage,to the gearbox and maybe to you.The usual cause is a loose nut, or maybe a broken shifter part. The gearbox will have to be dismantled to find the problem. Regards John.

Thanks for that, stripdown it is then I guess its wise anyway as the bikes due a full overhaul.
