Jubilee carburetter

Posted by john_dunn1 at July 30. 2011

My 1959 Norton Jubilee. This bike has a replacement engine, I don't know the year but the engine number is 91867.

What is the correct carburettor for this engine.

I have a couple of manuals for the Jubilee, but they show different carb numbers for the same bike , one is 375/43 and the other is 375/36.

Regards

John

Hi John,

All depends on which version of the Jubilee you have!

The 375/43 is fitted to the Standard model and the 375/36 is fitted to the Deluxe.

Presumably this variation is to allow for the tickler lever set-up on the Deluxe for flooding the carburettor,

i.e. the parts book list the following differences on the Deluxe not fitted to the Standard machine.

363/056 - Tickler bracket.

22173 - Tickler lever.

343/013 - Tickler spring.

Take a look at the charts of Norton Engine and Model Nos. in the Technical pages of this very web site.
