Dominator kick start

can anybody tell me if a amc kick start lever will fit a laydown box on a 99 dominator

Hi Ian,

Yes, I’m sure AMC kick start levers will fit on Norton laydown gearboxes.

Just make sure the offset in the lever is enough to clear your exhaust pipe.

Sorry Ian, but I have to disagree with Alan.  The splines on the lay-down gearbox are a larger diameter than on the AMC box.  I have the same problem!

Sorry Bill, but I have just tried what I believe is an AMC kick start lever on my 1951 Laydown gear box and it fits correctly, then I tried a Commando lever and that also fits, so it appears the parts I have all have the same size splines.

Thanks Alan.  That gives me hope but suppliers tell me otherwise.  I have two bikes, one with a lay-down box and the other with an AMC and they are different!  If you are right then I am very happy as I have been unable to find a good one so far and AMC ones are available.
