Dommie 88 paint colour (Poly Grey)
Up to Heavy Twins
Just a thought Aston,
Have you removed the primary chain cover? Quite possibly the interior still has the original paint, if so, you could get a almost perfect match from a decent paint specialist. Let's face it, the paint used in the 50's varied slightly with each batch of bikes produced. Do you want a bike that looks right, and is to be ridden, or a "so called" concourse machine (that some anorak will pick holes in anyway!). John

An excellent thought, John, thank you. Actually you have really hit the nail on the head with "decent paint specialist". I am going to try and find one on Tuesday.
The guy I went to last time wanted me to pick the colour from a colour chart (hence my question).
Many thanks for your very speedy reply.
