Gearbox Identification N5083

Hi

I have a gearbox stamped N5083 which I thought was an AMC gearbox.  I am replacing the kickstart shaft and purchased one for the AMC gearbox and the new one is not it is not the same as the one I have removed.  basically the hole for the return spring is further up the shaft and in a different position relative to the kickstart pawl.  looking at the images in the Norvil catalogue, the shaft I am removing looks simialr to the NA & MA box shaft (part number 040477).

Can anybody verify if the grarbox number does relate to a AMC gearbox so I can purchase the correct part.
