1951 ES2 Rocker Cover Gasket

Posted by Andrew Jarrett at March 10. 2017

Hi,

Could someone confirm if the 1951 ES2 motor used a rocker cover gasket or not. I have all pre war singles so I am not up to speed with the later ones.

Cheers

Andy

No gasket required, only a smear of appropriate sealer. I personally use Loctite Master Gasket #515, no problems. Leaks will appear every where else.

I had persistent oil weeps on mine despite using silicone type gasket goo so I made my own gaskets. It cured my leaks.
