The location is around 20 miles from Colchester, Essex (A12) or 20 miles from Bury St Edmunds (A14). The local roads are fairly clear of traffic. Having just been awarded 'Pub of the month' by CAMRA, it is known for its Beer and good food.
We will have the campsite and are using the sites Cabin bathrooms and showers and the sites showers for our stay. It is in a secluded, rural setting with Boxford, Sudbury, Historic Lavenham and Long Melford all within easy reach with their many restaurants, Cafe's and Public houses.
The Rally fee includes camping or Caravan/campervan pitches available from Thursday 8th June until the Sunday, any longer stays can be purchased direct from the Pub. There is NO electrical hook up and we will be using the adjacent field for Vans/Campers/Caravans, with the hardy souls in tents in the Pub's campsite field.
The Pub will organise cooked breakfasts, and pre-booking will help them cater for our numbers.
On the Friday Essex members will organise a run around the local area. On the Saturday we have a trip to nearby Lavenham, where we can display our machines in the village square and then have a wander or enjoy a bite to eat. In the evening we will have a band and a BBQ back at the Pub.
On Sunday the Suffolk Norton Dealer will be open for breakfast and we will have a run there, Or there is a Busy Motorcycle and Car Show in Aldham, some 15 miles away, For those staying at the site, we will have a Tankard awarded by the Pub team for their favourite Norton as well as the normal Concours d'Elégance that will be judged at the Square in Lavenham. The area is rural and has many 'chocolate box' cottages, and Pillions can look out for the local Thatcher's animals that are often on the roof .
