The NOC sponsors The Classic Senior Race for original 350 - 500cc race machines in the CRMC Series and a benefit of this is that Members have the opportunity to parade their Nortons at the meetings. Last year the track parades attracted an ever increasing number of Members keen to canter their steeds on the premier race tracks of the UK. Some were old hands and as well as a good number of first timers we even had a sidecar out! Judging by the feedback and reports in Roadholder last year they all had a blast.
This year the CRMC is offering a good spread of venues across the UK including for the first time for us, Silverstone! That has to be a must do outing. So for the fabulous experience of riding your bike on premier race tracks all over the UK at no cost, sign up for a circuit near you. Of course you can also enjoy a full day of exciting classic racing and help cheer on NOC Members who race in the various classes.
The track sessions are run under ACU Parade Regulations i.e. suitable protective clothing (1 or 2 piece leathers) must be worn. Machines must be fully road legal (no race bikes). Also remember that these are ACU regulated spectator track parades. They are not a speed event so riders wanting an unofficial race session will be disappointed. The parade is speed controlled by a pace vehicle and is conducted in such a manner as to provide a safe as possible track experience for road going bikes and riders – but it will still leave you with a very big grin.
All riders must remember to bring:- - Driving licence
- Certificate of Insurance
- MoT certificate
- Vehicle tax disc
- NOC membership card
