Bristol Branch are once again in the grasp of show stand building with the New Year show being the start of another year of events, the theme this year is "Nortons in Sport", and as with other years the branch is planning something special, with Peter Williams’ TT winner, Les Archer’s European Motocross winner, Ian Loram’s very special 1930 twin-port Speedway bike, Rob Boulton’s 500T Special, Andy Savage’s 1952 Manx, winner at Goodwood and winner of several Lansdowns races, Neil Shoosmith’s Wasp combie, ex British Champions unit, and if it gets here in time from Oz, Ian Loram’s latest addition a Bill Fruin Model 2 Combie racer. Stan Dibben is hoping to come along, what better name to have on a "Nortons in Sport" stand. With such a line up there’s plenty to interest the public and show how versatile a Norton can be.
We have plenty of experience in the branch with displaying quality machinery, and always produced stands that have to be inspected whether you're a Norton buff or just like the other stuff, see below.
In 2016 we celebrated the Rotaries with Terry Nation's and Steve Spray's bike and Brian Critchton's latest race bike displayed on a Magic Roundabout! Plus some other iconic Rotaries, a good show for us, lots of interest from the visitors.
We welcome visitors to the stand and if you can produce a membership card tea or coffee is free, please come along to the Bath and West showground for an excellent show we’ll be so pleased you could make it.
